Tax Deposit SOEs Over Rp 200 Trillion
The new tax deposits are derived from income tax agency, the UN, VAT, and Income Tax 21. Ministry of State Owned Enterprises (SOEs) estimates the total corporate tax deposits throughout the state for fiscal year 2008 reached more than Rp 200 trillion.
The new tax deposits are derived from income tax (PPh) business entities, property tax (PBB), the value added tax (VAT), and PPh 21. Meanwhile, no state income tax (non-tax revenues) is not included in these calculations.
"Number of SOEs could be up to Rp 200 trillion, not to mention the mine and deposit fees for the results," said Secretary Ministry of SOEs Said Didu in office, Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Jakarta, Thursday, April 2, 2009.
According to Said, the number of new tax deposits are estimates based on the amount of capital expenditure (capital expenditure / capex) and operational expenditure (operational expenditure / OPEX) government-owned companies during 2008 to reach about Rp 950 trillion.
Said said, seeing these conditions, people should not see the earnings contribution from the state government comes from the payment of dividends. Because the company is also paying state taxes.
However, Said acknowledged, the ministry until now have not had a payment summary data from all state taxes. Therefore, the tax payment data are scattered in various institutions in the Tax Directorate of the Ministry of Finance.
"For instance income tax agency, VAT, UN, and other taxes are generally handled by one party in the Directorate General of Taxes," he said.
